Hosting monthly discussion circles and events on art theory and practice, Didaar is a collective of Iranian artists, art historians, and art contributors based in Chicago. Holding discussions in Farsi, Iran’s native language, Didaar promotes professional communication and reflection on modern and contemporary art.
The aim of Didaar, meaning meet-up in Farsi, is to create communication and cooperation between Iranian artists and those active in the field of Iranian arts. Relying on the exchange of experience with and reflection on modern and contemporary art, Didaar’s goal is to help with professional development both in art theory and practice by promoting art-related discussion and criticism.
The group meets on the last Sunday of each month at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
